Bala Posted 14 March , 2010 Share Posted 14 March , 2010 What campaign medals would an Officer (Capt. R.W. MacDonald) who served in the NWF at Chital, with the Malakan Field Force Aug to Dec 1915. Then Mesopotamia 1916 - 1918. In December 1916 he was awarded the DSO - so at some stage he must have been Mentioned in Despatches but no details found. HarryBettsMCDCM Posted 14 March , 2010 Share Posted 14 March , 2010 He would have received the 1914~15 Star BWM & Victory Medals in all probability,His Index Card will confirm or deny that there were no Special Campaign Medals for that period{IGS/GSM} though he may be entitled to the GSM "IRAQ" Clasp for post November 1918 Service there,again the MIC will show entitlement.
