johnny_doyle Posted 11 March , 2010 Share Posted 11 March , 2010 his death is registered in Epsom and will probably be a standard civilian cert giving his death details. No medal card found so probably no service overseas. Son of Sydney Reade, born Ireland, a Civil Engineer who married Laura Anna Augusta Faddy in Lambeth 1880. She was the daughter of Langston Peter Faddy, a Major in the Indian Army (retired) (born Bengal 1819; died 1893). George Faddy Reade is probably the cousin of Langston P B Faddy (3571) and William Faddy (1573) both in the 19th Batt, London Regt.
River97 Posted 12 March , 2010 Share Posted 12 March , 2010 Soren, SDGW states 'died' and there is no MIC, so I would say he didn't make it overseas either. The death certificate should shed some light on the matter. Cheers Andy.
