Jonathan_NW Posted 11 March , 2010 Share Posted 11 March , 2010 Hi all No mystery to this man, it's just a photo I have received of my Great Great Uncle, Robert Tetlow. He served with 6/South Lancashire Regiment in Mesopotamia. He survived and came home, his brother was killed in Flanders. it's a nice photo and says on the back "To mother with love" I'm proud of what he did and just wanted people to see it. Jonathan. Excellent photo - my great uncle George Tarmey was posted from 8th to 6th South Lancs in 1917, he joined up in Garstang Lancs in Sep 1914 and returned home in May 1919. Bless 'em - never forgotten. BottsGreys Posted 12 March , 2010 Share Posted 12 March , 2010 I realize Tetlow may be a common surname in the UK, but any chance Robert was related to 226 Sgt. Joshua Tetlow, 6th Sherwood Foresters--see this thread: http://1914-1918.invisionzone.com/forums/i...c=44532&hl= Chris
