Good Day All,

Could anybody tell me which Battalion this chap would have been in,

27294 Pte Samuel Pollard.

According to his MIC he was only entitled to the BWM and a SWB is also listed.

Regards. Llew

No hits immediately, other than the original Medal Roll reference(s). There was no page number shown in the MIC so it is either of these two: WO329/911 or 912 as both have parts of the B34 batch. You might also learn a bit from the SWB List WO329/3134.

Thank you gentlemen. I'm trying to find a Samuel Pollard from Anstey in Leicestershire. There are two brothers on the memorial and another brother who saw 4 years service with the 1/4th Leicesters and the MGC, but Samuel is being a bit elusive. There is a photo of Samuel in uniform, which I'll try and get posted.

Regards. Llew.
