Tyneside Chinaman Posted 7 March , 2010 Share Posted 7 March , 2010 Hi Can anyone tell me who was the Brigade Major of 68 Brigade in June - July 1916 It isn't mention in the Order of Battle of Divisions Part 3a. He may be mantioned in the 23rd Divisional History but I can't see it. Thanks John

Steven Broomfield Posted 9 March , 2010 Share Posted 9 March , 2010 I'm away tonight and not home till late tomorrow night, but on Thursday (if no-one gets there sooner*), I'll have a dekko in the divisional history (which is very large and detailed). * Obviously I mean gets to a copy of the book sooner, not to my home. Mrs B wouldn't like that. I suspect.
Steven Broomfield Posted 11 March , 2010 Share Posted 11 March , 2010 No joy, I'm afraid. The Appendices, although detailed do not go so far as humble Brigade Majors, and the text of the volume seems not to go that far, either. Sorry.
Tyneside Chinaman Posted 11 March , 2010 Author Share Posted 11 March , 2010 Steven Many thanks for the lookup. I actually have 23 Div History and went through it myself (3 times) but wanted a second opinion incase I had missed something. again thanks for your efforts. regards John
