SE/10180Real name Arthur Stephen Parnell. Can only find his MIC. He is my partners great great garandmothers brother.

I think Arthur Stephen swapped his name like his brother Frank William and became Stephen Arthur. I believe he was in the Royal Army Veterinary Corps like his other brother Bert due to their occupations as shoeing smiths. No service record so cant be prooved.

Can anyone fill in the gaps for me?

Luke,

Class Z refers to the Army Reserve where your man would have been transferred to when being demoballized.

Thanks Staurt,

Thought i recognized the term.

Is there any way i can find out which battalion he was in? Can anyone tell by his army number? Any mentions of him in local newspapers?

If i was to go to Kew and look at the medal rolls will that tell me his battalion?
