UnionJack Posted 6 March , 2010 Share Posted 6 March , 2010 My cousin has a 14-15 star that could either belong to her grandfather or uncle (they were both J. Halley). An intersting tale as they apparently passed each other once but couldn't acknowledge as they had both lied about their age, one being too young, the other too old. The reverse is marked: 210 PTE J. HALLEY. R. IR. RIF. As they were Irish I'm guessing Royal Irish Regiment or Rifles and Royal Irish Fusiliers?is it unusual to have two regiments marked? the service number of 210 seems amazingly low too! She would love to know which one this belonged too so I've been on the Documents online but cannot find the card. Does that mean it was destroyed in the fire?
