Anyone got details of where these soldiers were in April 1918?

Thanks, that would be fantastic, my sons friend is 19 and knows little about WW1 so its great he is showing an interest!

He is about to go for his initial RAF 2 days physical test ( today) and with this and the kia relative he is getting more into this kind of thing!

As a guide, they had detachments working at Maroc, Philosophe, Lens Road, Fosse 7 and Hill 70, all of which are in the Loos sector. It was a pioneer battalion by that time. They also suffered some casualties from shelling in Bruay on 20 April. HQ moved to 21 Rue Michelet in Bethune five days later. This info is from the excellent "Surrender be damned", the battalion history by Les Hughes and John Dixon (Caerphilly: Cwm Press, 1995 - gosh that makes me feel old - I bought it as soon as it was out).
