Remembered Today:

POW Camp East Preston, Sussex

Recommended Posts

I purchased a POW wooden box recently and I am looking to see if I can find more information on the camp. The box was carved by a prisoner and lists the POW Camp East Preston, Sussex on the top and also has the initials 'E.A.' on the side (not the carver) and the Middlesex Regimental badge carved on to the side.

Does anyone have any details regarding this camp or the connection with the Middlesex Regiment? Any help would be appreciated.
