It had 48 watchers with 3 bidding and it went for £463 to a bidder in Italy. I have to say, i am pretty disappointed that it didn't go for more and that it went to a foreign bidder and now leaves the country. I am certain you will not see another like it again for a very long time.... But there you go.... £463 will go about half way to getting the infinitely more beautiful and historically (to us) relevant 34 patt helmet back to its glory and Welshdoc and i are about to be big mates..... so there was some good in raising the subject amongst this august assembly.
