stephen p nunn Posted 21 February , 2010 Share Posted 21 February , 2010 Just bought an East Yorkshire cap badge. Bi-metal - rose in the centre of star with scroll at bottom. It is well worn and the slider has been removed and a pin fixed on the back to make it into a brooch. Could this be GW period do you think? (Cost me £1.50). Regards. trenchtrotter Posted 21 February , 2010 Share Posted 21 February , 2010 Who knows! A photo would help but could be WW2. I like the brooching however and for £1.50...well who cares, either way sounds nice. TT
max7474 Posted 21 February , 2010 Share Posted 21 February , 2010 The same badge was worn from 1903 until 1958.

wainfleet Posted 21 February , 2010 Share Posted 21 February , 2010 Sounds to have been brooched for a lady friend or relation, commonly done in the Great War. So, yes.
