Those three map references are in the diary of the 8th SLI for May 1918. My map cd doesn't have anything west of Hebuterne 57D NE4. Does anyone have a map covering the relevant area, please?

Can help you with a map of the vicinity you want west of Sailly au Bois. The map reference seems to be J rather than I, though these were once one and the same letter. If you PM me with your email address I'll happily send you a scan

There is a map on the McMaster website that shows the area in 1918.

Depending on how far west you are, either I or J could be part of the reference.

J.16 and J.15 are northeast of Bus-les-Artois, and I.15 and I.16 are in Authie.
