Johno7439 Posted 11 February , 2010 Share Posted 11 February , 2010 Can anybody help me decipher my Great Grandfathers medal card. Unfortunately my computer won't play and let me upload a copy of it, but I'm looking for any help in understanding a long number which appears in the remarks section. it reads: NW/9/2767 E/384709/2. It may just be a serial number but I'm just not sure. His details are as follows if it helps any: 285250 Pte Peter Johnstone 6th Bn Seaforth Highlanders Killed in Action 16/5/1917 - Roeux ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Remembering my Great Grandfather -285250 Pte Peter Johnstone 6th Bn Seaforth Highlanders, Killed in Action 16/5/1917, Roeux.
