Last year visited the library to view 106th Field Company diary......now know much more about researching and should have taken better notes. If anyone is visiting with half a hour to spare I would be very grateful for some specific information

Thank you for your time

Joan

Hi Joan,

I am there on Tuesday all day and Wednesday morning. I have a list longer than my arm of things I need to do, but by all means let me know what you want checked, and if I have time, I will.

Regards

Iain

Thank you so much and only if you have time

I am trying to find the circumstances in which my great uncle Albert John Stephens 106th Field COY RE was awarded the belgian medal Decoration Militaire. i have seen the mention in the LONDON Gazette. I found 3 mentions of him in the war diary....he died 17.4.18 but the award was sometime in the previous year. His military records show he was wounded 8.9.1917 .So specifically I would like to know where the unit was between Sept 1917 and APRIL 1918 and did I miss mention of the award of the medal.

Many thanks Joan
