RE SNCO Help please

Hi

Im Helping a guy with this soldier.I think he his RE and the phot taken post 1918 as he has overseas chevrons but whats the other insignia on his arm signify? He was wearing spurs but i cropped em!

Any help much appreciated.

Looks like RE and the badge immediately above his Serjeant's chevrons is a bursting bomb as worn by RE Serjeants. The badge above the bomb looks like it could be a battle patch or formation patch.

All RE full sergeants AND ABOVE up to Warrant Officer Class 1 wore the grenade/bomb. A Lance Sergeant did not [thinks .... did RE have such a beast?]
