TF Pre War SD caps

ALCON,

I've attached a pre-war picture of Terriers wearing a fairly commonly seen variation in SD caps worn by just TF personnel.

If you'll notice the odd shaped Peak of the two Terriers in foreground.

I believe this to be a TFA purchased cheaper variation to the WO SD cap.

Anyone ever come across and Original?

I'm not able to comment on the caps, but this picture is very interesting. Is this a crop from a larger photo, by any chance? I'd love to see more! I see very early Territorial issue Patt. '08, with straight tabs, 90-round cartridge carriers, double strap water bottle carrier, and even what looks to be a Mk. V bottle. I'd say 1910 or later, because they are carrying CLLEs. Very nice!

Territorial Effciency Stars - one 5 pointed star awarded for each five years passed as efficient - not necessarily consecutive years nor with the same unit.
