max7474 Posted 16 January , 2010 Share Posted 16 January , 2010 Just beware that this is a large selection of images of reproduction badges. They are no use in spotting originals.

Does an original 13th look different in layout to a repro. then? SPN Maldon
Wardog Posted 16 January , 2010 Share Posted 16 January , 2010 More of a general warning I think. Small pictures have been used, and some badges would be more obviously copies than others. Try- http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/forums/
River97 Posted 16 January , 2010 Share Posted 16 January , 2010 Maldon, The Badge in the photo is a repro, but looks no different to an original. It's what they look like. The site actually states that the badges are reproductions, some cast from the original dies. That's why they are as cheap as they are. I have purchased the odd one and they do the job quite nicely, I know they are not originals and I use them for display only. Cheers Andy.

Peter Doyle Posted 17 January , 2010 Share Posted 17 January , 2010 You might also like to see the famous picture, by Eric Kennington I believe, 'The Kensingtons at Laventie', which was painted in oils on glass, and in which the cap badge figures prominently... on display at IWM Cheers Peter
