Despatch rider coat/macintosh

The past few days i've been looking at images of the waterproof macintosh worn by despatch riders - they are shown especially on this superb album of images of a group of 56 Division 'Don R's' equipped with Triumph model H's. Does anyone have more information on these, photographs, notes on construction, existing examples - particularly any patterns, or where I could find them, so that I could get a useable reproduction made?
