pdyholman Posted 19 April , 2010 Share Posted 19 April , 2010 On the subject of the Nigerian's in East Africa - over Easter I found a number of photos from January 1917 in my late father-in-laws copy of "With the Nigerians In German East Africa" CAPTAIN W. D. POWNES (Now available online at http://www.archive.org/stream/cu3192402783...31860_djvu.txt) Lieutenant John Dent Young was his father, and with the 1st Nigerian Regiment in the West African FF. (John was wounded at Mkindu on the 18th January, so the photos date from the preceeding month).
