stevesless Posted 10 January , 2010 Share Posted 10 January , 2010 Hi, I'm new to the forum but have been researching my Great Grandfather who died on September 21st 1914 in Missy. I have some war diaries and other documents being new, i am assuming this is the right place for posting. Hope these are of use to fellow members. stevesless Posted 10 January , 2010 Author Share Posted 10 January , 2010 OK, these are my best efforts to resize under 100kb. Alternatively i can post a web link to them and i will upload them to my picasa site. Let me know if your having any difficulties. S.
Chris_Baker Posted 10 January , 2010 Share Posted 10 January , 2010 I'n not sure that you are not breaking TNA copyright by posting these images. Can you check with their terms, and perhaps with the Forum Mods?
stevesless Posted 10 January , 2010 Author Share Posted 10 January , 2010 Hi Chris, Thanks for the pointers; i checked on the National Archives website and got the following: "The use of copies of records downloaded from DocumentsOnline is subject to the following conditions. Digital copies of documents on DocumentsOnline may be used only for: Private study or research for a non-commercial purpose Education: copies may be used, and further copies of those copies may be made, for education purposes in the course of instruction or examination, or of preparation for instruction or examination by a person giving or receiving the instruction or preparing or taking the examination" It is my understanding that TNA would class this forum as Private study or research for a non-commercial pupose. If the mods rule that this is not the case then they should be pulled. I could always do a transcript, this is not subject to the same copyright as the images.
