shutt Posted 13 January , 2010 Author Share Posted 13 January , 2010 Thanks Tom, at the moment its 36.C.SW3 that I`m after. I`m tracing my Gt Uncles units movements from the war diaries but am working through month by month. If I do come across reference to SW1 I`d really appreciate any help. Thanks for that also Diane. I`ve been unable to access the McAllister collection maps for a while now, had no problems before Christmas. Tom

shutt Posted 13 January , 2010 Author Share Posted 13 January , 2010 Thanks Tom. There are a few areas I`m interested in, to see where the unit HQ, batteries, wagon lines and target zones were at certain times. The war diaries give co-ordinates at the end of each month, such as July 17 which were :- HQ at S.10.d.80.35 Batteries at M.35.a.20.60 zone along SOS line N.26.a.95.90 - N.26.b.65.45 " M.34.b.65.00 " M.35.b.40.10 " S.4.b.85.75 " M.35.d.40.10 " M.30.d.20.90 Wagon lines at X.10.d.10.90 X.3.D.30.10 x.10.d.10.90 BAC at F.11.b.40.70 There are quite a few of these lists unfortunately, but any help much appreciated. shutt Posted 18 January , 2010 Author Share Posted 18 January , 2010 Thanks very much for posting the maps and marking them up too John. Very interesting to see the battery location dispersal and proximity of the wagon lines, also of the SOS line. Very much appreciated. Tom
