Myduckie2 Posted 5 January , 2010 Share Posted 5 January , 2010 Can anyone advise me what medals these are and what they are given for. They were in my grandfathers effects. Any info would be appreciated. He was with the Canadian Light Infantry Expeditionary Force and enlisted about 1915.
jay dubaya Posted 5 January , 2010 Share Posted 5 January , 2010 Sherry, they'll be the British War & Victory medals, have a look and see what name is stamped around the outer rim. Jon
Michael Johnson Posted 5 January , 2010 Share Posted 5 January , 2010 Would the unit be "P.P.C.L.I."? Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry. His enlistment record is available online, and the page will give you details on how to order his service record. http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/databas...42-100.01-e.php
