Steven Broomfield Posted 4 January , 2010 Share Posted 4 January , 2010 I'd hazard aguess at Gordon Highlanders, but is it the silver officers' version? Looks nice.
truthergw Posted 4 January , 2010 Share Posted 4 January , 2010 Not my area of expertise but I'd say either Gordons or Seaforths. That doesn't look like an officer's jacket?
4thGordons Posted 4 January , 2010 Share Posted 4 January , 2010 Agree. Gordons. I also think that it is the 3D "Officers" (also worn by senior NCOs) badge rather than the standard one. Any chance of seeing the rest of the pic? Chris
starmore4969 Posted 4 January , 2010 Author Share Posted 4 January , 2010 Thanks all, am trying to narrow down my search on the medal index as their are thousands with the same name as this man James Clark, thought if i new regiment it would cut it down cheers steve
4thGordons Posted 4 January , 2010 Share Posted 4 January , 2010 He is wearing a simplified pattern tunic (no pocket pleats/rifle patches) and is indeed an NCO (Sgt) so badge is correct. Medal card of Clark, James Gordon Highlanders S/3158 Company Quarter Master Serjeant Labour Corps 708470 Company Quarter Master Serjeant Seems to be a possibility. He was the only James Clark (Gordons) that I could find with the rank of Sgt. Do you know anything else about him? Chris
