I'd hazard aguess at Gordon Highlanders, but is it the silver officers' version? Looks nice.

I also think that it is the 3D "Officers" (also worn by senior NCOs) badge rather than the standard one.

Any chance of seeing the rest of the pic?

Thanks all, am trying to narrow down my search on the medal index as their are thousands with the same name as this man James Clark, thought if i new regiment it would cut it down

He is wearing a simplified pattern tunic (no pocket pleats/rifle patches) and is indeed an NCO (Sgt) so badge is correct.

Seems to be a possibility. He was the only James Clark (Gordons) that I could find with the rank of Sgt. Do you know anything else about him?
