M.A.Stewart Posted 4 January , 2010 Share Posted 4 January , 2010 Hi everyone, I've just downloaded my great-grandfather's RN record (ADM 188/1071), and it states that he was awarded Badge No. "G. I. B." in January 1919. Does anyone know what this badge would have been awarded for? My great-grandfather was an Engine Room Artificer, Class 4 at the time, so perhaps the badge had something to do with this. Hope someone can help! Best wishes, Marc
horatio2 Posted 4 January , 2010 Share Posted 4 January , 2010 The abbreviation means that he was granted (G) his 1st Good Conduct badge (1B) on the date indicated.
