A pair of these were found in the Victory medal box of Pte 40064 Wilfred Lord Essex Rgt. Could a kind soul tell me what they are please

Jon;

They were commercially produced & sold souvenir medalets to commemorate the cessation of hostilities probably given to School children etc @ Victory Parties etc..They are made of "white metal" ie; Lead Alloy. They are not officially awarded medals.
