talismanic Posted 31 December , 2009 Share Posted 31 December , 2009 Please could any of our experts identify the regiment from this cap badge? I guess he might be a Fusilier, perhaps of a local or County Fusiliers. If I try to sharpen the image it becomes less clear. Thanks! John

jwp2007 Posted 31 December , 2009 Share Posted 31 December , 2009 Hi John, the badge looks to me like the royal fusiliers (city of london regt.).I think several battalions of the London regt used this badge during the great war, my grandfather was transfered to the 3rd london regt. in 1918 and used the fusiliers cap badge, i'm sure some pals with more knowledge will be along shortly !!!!, regards, John. max7474 Posted 31 December , 2009 Share Posted 31 December , 2009 Royal Fusiliers. There were 4 Regular Bns in 1914 and no TF. I would speculate the S/title say RF with a grenade above it. The 1st-4th Bns of the London regt wore this badge as well.
