Hi,

I hae never understood the "officer" and "OR" badge difference.

I have a very nice WW1 tunic to an officer of the regt, missing its collar badges.

Would these do it?

Thanks in advance for any tips,

Chris

Hi,

an honest question... but how different are they from nickle and brass?

Would they look the same as these?

Thanks

Chris

Even with Service Dress?? - I'm under the impression silver/gilt officers badges were worn with either scarlet or blue "patrol" jackets. Bullion with review order and messs dress and bronze for SD, or is silver/gilt collars on SD purely a peculiarty of the York & Lancs??

Info from Churchill's book although I don't have it to hand at the moment, from memory 'bronze pattern worn by officers on the khaki drill from 1919 -1939'....after waking the kids looking for the book I stand corrected, the 3 paragraphs that deal with the bronze collar dog do in fact state that it was introduced during 1902 and worn on the SD. The officers bronze, but unbronzed and then polished was worn on the karki drill 1919-1939...so my memory is failing ;) I can also confirm that the silver/gilt version was worn on the scarlet jacket and the blue frockcoat from 1902

cheers, Jon
