Why discharged?

I have not been able to find this particualr reference in the King's Regulations to explain why this soldier was discharged. Hope someone can help.

"xvi" is, as Chris has already stated, discharged as "No longer physically fit for war service". The "a" was added by Army Order 86 of March 1918 to indicate "During a period of war or demobilization", there was also a "B" added which covered "In Peace".

Chris I looked at your list on the Lost Lost Trail but mistakenly read the card as "392(X0IA) instead of "392xvia"!!

I found this particular reference on what I believe to be Joss Ackland's (actor) fathers mic. If him, he served with the 1st Londons.
