The picture below was taken from my hotel window looking over Hyde Park to the magnificent war memorial. I paid a visit and was impressed by the size and simplicity of the design. The domed ceiling with thousands of stars and the bronze statue were stunning. To add to the whole experience there is a great museum downstairs, with artifacts from all the Australian conflicts from Gallipoli to Viet Nam. A "must see" along with the bridge and opera house.
