Two Yorkshire Lads - uniform advice sought

Hello there;

I just recieved these photos and some letters which are family members, with some more to follow. They lived in the Bridlington and Hull areas, East Yorkshire.

The photo with the soldier wearing the cap is in another earlier shot wearing the East Yorks cap badge, but this clearly isn't, so which unit did he transfer to? I can't find any MIC for him with his original East Yorks number so I am hoping to trace it by looking for this regiment, but what is it?

In the 2nd photo I'm trying to ID him at the moment, but would like to know more about his uniform. I guess mounted because of the spurs. And is that the Imperial Service badge he is wearing?

thanks!

Matt

Yep, definitely Royal Berkshires on the first photo; the second photo could be either yeomanry (East Yorkshire)? or R.H.A.? Is this the same man?

He is certainly wearing the Imperial Service badge.

Robert

hi chaps, thanks for the quick ID. No the 2nd chap [cav?] isn't the same man, but the same family. These photos all come from my grandmothers family.
