Hi,

I am totally new to this wonderful site. Can any one help in my quest for information & photo's of the Duke of Lancaster's Own Yeomanry?

My Great Uncle Harold Glennen joined the above, his number 3809, later changed to 110475 . He was killed in action 1918 France.

The long shot is, I would love to find a photo of him.

Live in hope.

A short history of the DLOY compiled by Fergus Read from regimental and other records was published in 1992 by Lancashire County Books. It is (surprisingly! :P ) entitled "The Duke of Lancaster's Own Yeomanry - a short history" (ISBN 1-871236-11-8).

You may find this of interest.

Dave.

I don`t suppose you`ve come across this soldier by any chance?

3475 Pte. A. Lowe, Duke of Lancaster's Own Yeomanry. I know he is entitled to a 1914/15 Star, but thats all I have. :(
