TraceyRogers Posted 24 October , 2009 Posted 24 October , 2009 Hello everyone Is there anyone out there who could try and identify the uniform or regiment of this soldier. He has lyre collar badges and a single chevron on his lower left arm. I have always thought the chap is my great grandfather Robert Henry Parry who was in the KORLR number 8244 but I don't think this is their uniform. Any thoughts
Wardog Posted 24 October , 2009 Posted 24 October , 2009 I think the picture shows a bandsman. Royal Marines.
TraceyRogers Posted 24 October , 2009 Author Posted 24 October , 2009 Wow now thats thrown a spanner in the works because I know of no family members being in the Royal Marines. What does the cheveron mean on his arm, do you know?

TraceyRogers Posted 24 October , 2009 Author Posted 24 October , 2009 If he is in the Royal Marines how can I find out more about bandsmen
