kings own cloth badge.

for several years I have had a cloth badge in the form of the Cap Badge of the Kings Own( Royal Lancaster Regt.) It is roughly 3-4 inches long and about 2 & half inches high. it appears to be embroidered on a rough khaki serge, similar to uniform. It looks too large for the shoulder and I have always thought that it was perhaps a pugaree badge, although those I have seen in illustrations are usually scarlet etc. It certainly looks as if it was intended fro uniform or similar use. It does not have the appearance of an article 'jacked up' down the bazaar as a souvenier. Any ideas?
