Remembered Today:

Book to big for publishing, what do I cut out?

Late suggestion without reading the whole topic, do Volume 1, and Volume 2.

Having skimmed through the topic, the CD supplement idea appealed to me. That would mean the book itself would be more manageable, and would flow better as a text, allowing those who are interested to take a look at the CD as and when. It's an all-in-one package with the book, and doesn't require extra advertising - as a website would, if it was really effective.

I think the idea of adding images of the articles might be frustrating for the reader (too small) and expensive, and would exclude other kinds of images (of people and places?) which of themselves probably make the book more enticing. I understand you are not interested in profit, and salute you for your good intentions, but it would be natural to want as many people as possible to read the book.

Good luck with the project.

Joanna (who knows nothing about publishing or writing...)
