I was at an auction recently and i was distracted and bid for the wrong lot(lol i know have done it before and will likely do it again) and i went home with 4 belgian medals. I have no experience of these medals as i normally collect only British ones.

they are---------Croix de Guerre with 3 bronze palms 1914-18

----------Medaille de la Victoire 1914-18

----------Yser medal 1914

----------Commemorative medal 1914-18 war

in the box was a small silver 5 pointed star.

Could you tell me what medal the star goes on and i as am giong to mount these medals (budding Belgian medal collecter lol) could you tell me in what order they should be going from left to right if you are looking at them on the wall.

Many thanks in anticipation

Walter

A small five-pointed silver star was authorized for wear on the ribbon of the Belgian Commemorative Medal of the War, 1914-1918 to indicate men who returned to active service after suffering war wounds or sickness contracted during active service. Dick Flory
