dutchbarge Posted 20 September , 2009 Share Posted 20 September , 2009 Hello, Major (temp. Lt. Col) Troyte-Bullock 7/SLI commanded 60th Brigade from 29 Nov. 1917 until late December of the same year. In his capacity as commander of a Brigade, would he have worn staff gorgets? Cheers, Bill
armourersergeant Posted 21 September , 2009 Share Posted 21 September , 2009 Bill, It is likely as a temp commander he may not have bothered putting up the red tabs. I wonder how temp he thought the position would be. Did the original commander get injured and was due return? The correct form of dress would have been to wear the red tabs of course.
