mordac Posted 18 September , 2009 Share Posted 18 September , 2009 Hi All: I'm creating a non-profit web site dedicated to the memory of the Canadian Siberian Expeditionary Force (1918-1919). Needed are three fully attributable images of medals. Meritorious Service Medal with ribbon (1917 onwards ribbon) circa 1919. Military Medal with ribbon circa 1919. Czechoslovak War Cross with ribbon circa 1918. I will fully credit the pictures and will link to your web site if you have one. Many thanks. Guest oldfarzt Posted 28 September , 2009 Share Posted 28 September , 2009 Hi there My grandfather was ADMS in Siberia from Oct 1918 to Jun 1919. He was then posted to Quebec and was subsequently awarded the Czech War Cross - either for his time in Siberia itself, or because of being in Valcartier when the Czech Legion staged through there on their way back home. So I'm interested in your project. I have a copy of his personal diary but frankly there's not a lot of detail in it. I also have a Czech War Cross but you should be a ble to get a good image from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Czechosl...s_1914-1918.PNG I'm a retired Major living near Brockville Ontario. Staffsyeoman Posted 29 September , 2009 Share Posted 29 September , 2009 If I remember correctly one of the best sources for good, clear pictures of the MSM and MM are the Canadian government Honours and Awards site and the Canadian War Museum? And Joe, you wouldn't have been in the Brockville Rifles at any point, would you?
