Question Please

I note that a great many if not all of the "In from the Cold" successes where the CWGC has accepted the research are also recorded as being commemorated on a memorial or burial place. Does this mean that the new names are only missing from the Debt of Honour Database or that they were not commemorated anywhere officially or a mixture of both. Your advice will be appreciated.

These are names that were not previously recorded as qualifying war deaths by CWGC. They were missing from the official roll of war dead.

As a result, they had no offficial commemoration either over their grave (if known) or on a CWGC memorial to the missing. Once accepted for commemoration and added to the Debt of Honour, their names will be added to a CWGC memorial or (in a few cases) have a CWGC stone erected over their grave (if no private stone already exists). Sadly most have no known grave but, at least, their name will join the others on the memorials.
