kidneybean Posted 20 September , 2009 Author Share Posted 20 September , 2009 Try this page for some helpful information. Doug Thanks for info, I have looked at this. Intriguing thing about MIC is that it doesn,t show any medals awarded but"forfeits medals" on right hand side of card. Second part of MIC has "O i/c RASC Records forwards listof forfeitures" date 1/5/20. Why would medals have been forfeited and would there have been an original MIC for their award ? Piorun Posted 21 September , 2009 Share Posted 21 September , 2009 Likely for misconduct. If card doesn't show "rep", it's likely the original card. If you post an image, Pals might be able to help further. Antony
per ardua per mare per terram Posted 1 October , 2009 Share Posted 1 October , 2009 The reason for the forfeiture would have been on that list and I would expect there would have been some note on his service record.

Thanks but doesn't seem record survived the blitz, would there be any further information of list at Kew? Could underage enlistment be the cause? Have you searched at Kew for his service records? As far as I know the Ancestry uploads for 'W' are not complete. Forfeiture lists are not something I've come across, maybe another poster has.
