Rutland Belle Posted 13 September , 2009 Share Posted 13 September , 2009 Please could someone look at the following Medal Card on Ancestry and give me some idea of what it means. I have looked on National Archives-interpreting a medal card but didn't really help. Richard D Rowlands Regiment or Corps:Welsh Regiment, Welsh Regiment Regimental Number:22693, 87577 It says medals forfeited / discharged then later medals restored Many thanks in advance Jennifer
ralphjd Posted 13 September , 2009 Share Posted 13 September , 2009 Jennifer. I have had a look at his card and the information you seek is as follows:- discharged = from the forces. forfeited:- Kings Regulations Paragraph 392 (xi) = for misconduct at home. Medals later restored to him. Ralph.
