Private 3415 A.R.AmosH.C.F.A. (3/3) R.A.M.C.

Hello

It would seem that my Grandfather, Alfred Robert Amos, was in both H.C.F.A. (3/3) R.A.M.C. (as Private 3415) and 2/7 Hants (as Private 206010).

Various people have proffered information and advice on the Hampshire Regiment connection and I wonder if anyone can do similar on the R.A.M.C. front?

I cannot get to Kew due to incapacity so any suggested searches would need to be web-based I'm afraid.

It's the 'usual' beginner's information I need such as when he inlisted, when he transferred to the Hampshires, etc.

Unfortunately, no web based resource outlining the information you require exists. The only option is to find whether your Grandfathers service record exists and this would require a trip to Kew or the services of a reputable professional researcher.
