Guest KELLYBROD Posted 23 April , 2004 Share Posted 23 April , 2004 Remembering today Private Tom John Smart 1/Norfolks KIA 23/4/1917 age 38. I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of those at the war forum especailly Ian Bowbrick who helped me trace my great grandfather. A year ago I had no idea about this man at all and thanks to the kindness and geneorsity of people on this forum I have been able to find out a lot about his life. This will probably be the first year in a very long time that any living soul has thought of him on his anniversary. Thanks again everyone, you are fantastic!
