This is an excellent book - 9 maps, 53 illustrations including two useful Appendices: Distinctions for Gallantry and Services in the Field, - Mentions in Dispatches. With a useful index.

The book was first published by T.Fisher Unwin Ltd, London in 1916 - purchased my copy many years ago for less than £5 from a local book dealer - a good investment.

You have come up with the goods again, cobber.

Schuler was one of the old breed. It has been said that he told his father he could not sit around waiting for people to get killed so that he could write about them. He joined up, and promptly got killed.
