SOLDIERS STRUCK BY LIGHTNING

During a thunderstorm which passed over Ipswich on Friday some soldiers were on a route march on Woodbridge Road, near Kesgrave. The lightning struck a part of the column, and a number of men were thrown to the ground. Private Woodliffey and his horse were killed, and several men were seriously injured.

According to this, Woodliffey would have died on the 23rd July. CWGC's nearest match gives 337 Pte Cyril Worland WOODLIFFE, RAMC, died 27th July 1915. Are they one and the same man, with a bit of confusion over name and DoD . . . ?????

There is no Woodliffey listed for that quarter - Cyril W Woodliffe's death is registered at Woodbridge so I think the CWGC date is incorrect
