Remembered Today:

Sheffield Hospital

Recommended Posts

this could well be Shrewsbury Hospital which was indeed on Norfolk Road. I'll see what I can find out, my sister is only a mile or so up the road,

cheers, Jon

Wouldn't the coat of arms over the door tell you anything.

Cheers Roger.

Cheers Jon.

Roger, I will attempt to enlarge it and see! or get the owner to have another look.

Cheers both.

The reverse of the photo also has Barlborough (North Derbys) so it could be that he was using it as a note pad!!

The chap was from Chesterfield and this would have been his second time out with wounds. Firstly on Gallipoli and then Poelcapelle.
