pilot Posted 24 August , 2009 Share Posted 24 August , 2009 Hello In 1916, Captain Robert Mortimer Fournier-Sarloveze was awarded the Military Cross. I didn't found anything in the London Gazette. How to find something about him? Regards
Michael Johnson Posted 24 August , 2009 Share Posted 24 August , 2009 No entry on Memoire des hommes, so he survived the war. Could this be the man, or his son? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Fournier-Sarlov%C3%A8ze
pilot Posted 24 August , 2009 Author Share Posted 24 August , 2009 Hello Yes he is, he was first in a cavalry regiment and after attached to an Infantry divisionnal H.Q. Perhaps in 1916 was he in touch with BEF in the Somme? Newspaper clipping said that he received this award by Prince Arthur of Connaught.
