Myrtle Posted 13 August , 2009 Share Posted 13 August , 2009 Julia It may be worthwhile telephoning the South Wales Borderers' Museum in Brecon. I have found them very helpful. LINK Myrtle

Myrtle Posted 13 August , 2009 Share Posted 13 August , 2009 Well done John. Hopefully CWGC will correct the spelling.
John_Hartley Posted 14 August , 2009 Share Posted 14 August , 2009 Hopefully CWGC will correct the spelling. Only if there is documentary evidence that confirms the different spelling - and that the soldier served under that name. Unless it's a simple scanning error. My advice to Julia is to write to CWGC in the first instance pointing out the possible error and see what response comes back. John
Terry Denham Posted 14 August , 2009 Share Posted 14 August , 2009 The correction is in hand. His name is TREHARNE according to the MIC.

They may not have the space to display the plaque but they may be able to help locate Reginald's family. Let us know how it goes. Myrtle
