Jim Gordon Posted 19 April , 2004 Share Posted 19 April , 2004 I have the London Gazette notification of an M.C. awarded to an officer where, instead of his Regiment being identified, the words "Special List" take its place. Did this comprise a list of officers who had applied for and been granted a permanent commission in the Regular Forces but had not yet been formally appointed to a particular Regiment ?
