leanes-trench Posted 9 August , 2009 Share Posted 9 August , 2009 Greetings, all. I just acquired a photo of a "Lieutenant Dunlop, British West Indies Regiment, 1916." I suspect this is 2nd Lieutenant A.A. Dunlop, who belonged to the 3rd Jamaica Contingent. I've tried to find a MIC for him, but no luck, and he does not appear to be a casualty. If anybody can help, I'd like to know a bit about him. Thank you! Pat
sotonmate Posted 9 August , 2009 Share Posted 9 August , 2009 Pat In the absence of any real info later,I note that there are five Officer files at Kew for DUNLOP A (single initial listed only). All in WO339/ 66728;78118;113788;118155 and 124300. Do you have any other snippets which might narrow this down ? Like when he was commissioned ? Sotonmate Unfortunately I don't have anything else to go on. I was hoping for some leads with the MIC's, but couldn't find any Dunlop listed in the BWI. Terry_Reeves Posted 10 August , 2009 Share Posted 10 August , 2009 The November 1918 Army list shows him as a Lt with the seniority date of 5th Sept 1917. He was temporarily attached to the 4th Bn BWI and the holder of the Military Cross. TR
