Uniform and Era identification

Hi,

I am assuming this picture is post Great War? Can anyone help with regiment and era? Is that a Military Medal ribbon?

Given that he appears to be wearing the ribbons of a Military Medal, a British War Medal and a Victory Medal I would say yes - post war. Can't help with the regiment unless you can see any detail in the buttons or shoulder titles - although the (scarlet) sash suggests Colour Sergeant in an infantry battalion; the uniform appears to be the khaki drill version of service dress for hot climates, with badges pinned or pop-studded on. The Crown/crossed rifle badges are puzzling as that's a 'prize badge' and IIRC - call for forum member Grumpy - you wouldn't wear two.

I don't have the photo with me at the moment but I'll try to zoom in a bit on the buttons and shoulder titles when I do.
